What is so captivating about Twilight (both movie & the book series)?

Well, I would say....the star-crossed lovers.

Why? Coz they are not supposed to fall in love, they are actually prohibited to love...and yet they are drawn inexorably towards each other.

One....a vampire, that is always aloft, never falled in love in his nearly a century existence. A human friendly vampire, so heartbreakingly beautiful....a fallen leonine angel.

Another....a down to earth, responsible girl with so many insecurities and could never see herself as other than common.

Together, they are beautiful. So protective of each other until they are willing to sacrifice their life to protect their partner and yet each do not resent the others' constraints. So true to each other, that they are willing to fight the world for their love. They are the new Romeo and Juliet.

Why girls love Edward Cullen.
1) Loves her unconditionally.
2) He is very protective.
3) A gentleman (sex after marriage is a good example) and a gentle man (croons to Bella when she is down).
4) Accepts that he would never understand her.
5) Confident of himself.
6) He makes her laugh.
7) Puts her well-being higher above himself.
8) Able to restraint himself, at his own cost.
9) Plays piano (okay this is harder to explain. for ladies, we are always attracted to the arty types...they are more sensitive to our feelings and accept our tears readily. also, piano players always have beautiful sensitive hands/fingers, against our skins, these gentle hands are a godsend. for computer techies, soft and sure typing at the keyboard are also ok, but pounding at the keyboards, swearing while pressing on the Del key is really not)

Why guys love Bella Swan.
1) Loves him unconditionally.
2) She accepts him as he is, even tho he is a monster.
3) Did not play love games, she told him that she loves him and really meant it.
4) She makes him laugh.

Why parents love Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.
1) Both are virgins and remained virgins until they get married.


Please be assured that the above are only from my viewpoint. I do not assume that I know Stephenie Meyer's characters inside and out, she is the author and would most understand the internal working of her characters.

I would be mostly correct in saying that most ladies expect the guys to take some control of her life (some is the keyword). This do not mean that she is weak or meek, but it is heady to meet a guy that is confident of himself and protective of the ladies. Exasperating....but heady.

So guys, take note. ;)

Of course, Edward Cullen is also a most perfect vampire around. Don't be sad tho, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder....and women eyes are usually lead by her heart.

Well, except for Robert Pattinson....with those other worldly face, shy eyes, beautiful hairs, accents and bod....yummy! Weird looking but yummy nonetheless.

Latest calculation, lebih dari 100 bees dalam umah aja. Adik aku calculated 76 bees, tak termasuk yg aku buang this morning and diorg dah buang semalam.

Kalau ada manusia yang rosakkan sarang dia, aku harap dia kena sengat. Biar masuk spital...bangang nyer manusia. Wasted resources cam tuh aja. These are the bugs that directly contribute to the flowering of plants. Aku calculate sarang besar gaks nih....sayang sungguh. Beribu bees mati cam tuh aja.

Semalam, aku balek and kalut2 nak kuar buat kunci, terlupa la nak tutup tingkap. Masa kitorg balek arnd 8 pm tuh, ok lagik...tapi tetiba arnd 8.05 pm, aku notice ada banyak bees kat lampu utama umah.

Kalut aku suh my loved ones tutup tingkap, sib baik dia tak kena sengat. At that time dah more than 20 ekor kat lampu. Aku start spraying the bees yang dalam umah, adik2 aku start killing the ones on the floor.

Then, aku start notice that the bees dah makin bertambah. So, aku suh retreat to the middle of the house, and aku tutup main lampu. Adik aku bagitau that the bees also pindah ikut lampu.

Another retreat, kali nih to safe zone...dalam bilik aku. Tutup semua lampu luar (aku still dapat dengar droning sayap dia), then tutup the cracks bawah pintu aku, start the electrical ubat nyamuk and crank up the air-cond. Tuh pun ada gaks yang nak masuk dalam bilik.

Selepas 10-15 mins, aku buat first recon. All the bees yang active dah takder. Yang mabuk-mabuk aku bunuh and give another spray to tempat yang aku tak nampak. Check tingkap, ada yang terbuka lagik rupanya. Patut la tadi beria2 dia masuk.

Masa nak tutup tingkap, notice orang kat bawah tgh menuding jari ke corridor kitorang. Sahih the bees attack lampu2 kat corridor. Then dengar neighbour atas keletap keletup, sahih dia pun tengah bunuh bees. Suddenly, terdengar budak menjerit. Shucks, one of the victims?

A few times recon, aku dah confident....so boleh la bebudak nih pegi toilet and stuffs. Tapi kitorg just bukak lampu dalam aja, no lampu menghala ke luar.

Sib baik aku just beli the Twilight series, so semua just lepak dalam bilik sambil baca buku (and menggigil since aku buka air-cond 16 degrees aja).

Pagi nih, aku tengok kat corridor luar ada beratus bees yang mati. Tuh baru my level....tak level atas and bawah lagik. Dalam umah aku aja, more than 50 bees yang mati...sabar aja la...tatau mana datang since kitorang tak penah nampak sarang dia. Aku suspect ada bebudak yang jolok nih...since bees mana kluar masa malam.

Itu la citer nya umah kitorang kena attack ngan bees. Sib baik huney bees, not the killer African ones. Kalau killer bees, confirm kitorang dah mati. Hahaha...

Btw, aku dah berjaya membeli keseluruhan Twilight Series. Well, the four books yang dah di publish aja la. Kenapa aku beli? Sebab semalam aku dapat baca the first chapter of the 5th book, the Midnight Sun, terus fall in love with the author dia nyer style. Very vivid and easy to imagine...so terus la aku pegi MPH and angkut. Aku beli separate books since it is arnd RM20 lebih murah yang dalam set tuh.

Kesimpulannya, the book is more interesting than the movie. Sampai aku sedar2 dah dekat kul 12. Hahahaha. Sorry, no pinjam...sewa buleh. ;)

  Reviews movies

Sedih a bit, another 2 friends gone from my company. Tak tau nak bermanja
ngan sapa lagik. Dah la these 2 people la yang banyak ajar aku pasal Unix,
the weird2 commands and slalu tak penah penat menolong aku apply patches
and t/shooting.

Good luck dears in your future endeavours.

Anyway, last weekend berjaya gaks aku tgk Twilight and Underworld:Rise of
the Lycans.

Twilight review.
Good for teenagers and young adults. The story abt 'teenage' vampires with
kesopanan and kesusilaan yang tinggi. I understood why it became famous,
since the movie is sweet with teenage love (no sex, yeay!! see, no sex
also can become box office) and sacrifices. Tho, a bit boring for
adults....like me. Hahaha. Will look for the books, since I think the
books would be much more interesting...what with the werewolves (ops,
spoiler alert!) and others. And Jacob Black is also cute. Hahaha, I always
have soft spots for cute monsters heh? Hmm...3 out of 5 stars.

Underworld:Rise of the Lycans review.
Love it. Not as good as the Selene's Underworlds but quite ok la. They
managed to get Sonja, which looks a bit like Selene and thus plausible for
Viktor to be remembered by his lost daughter when looking at the beautiful
Selene. Lucius, is so...well...luscious. A lot of gore tho, and tak larat
aku nak menutup mata bebudak nih bila scenes bugel appears. Bila la Astro
nak buat back to back on the Underworld series. Hehehe. For me...3 1/2 out
of 5 stars. What to say, I love Monster movies.

P/s : Rejab dah nak start, so sesapa yang tak abis ganti posa lagik, start
la ganti yer.

  My dinner for tonite

My recipe for tonite.

Cut dory fillet bite size.
Marinate with pepper, bit of salt and common soup's spices for abt 5
minutes.
Cut onion's lengthwise.
Stir fry the onion and the fish with a bit of olive oil.
Serve with creamy mushroom soup dribbled on top.

Take cauliflower, sprinkle with a bit of salt, pepper. Sauteed it until a
bit soft. Then serve it in a bowl with layers of cheese.

Serve both of the dishes together.

Wuhu!! Not sure healthy or not. But will surely be nice nyer la.

Managed to watch Blood:The Last Vampire (2009).

The movie is more like graphic novels.....due to the graphic splattering of bloods and slow moving scenes. Jun Ji-Hyun as Saya is very convincing, a brooding vampire slayer wearing a school girl's uniform. The sceneries are also very beautiful, well it does reminds me of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The mood are also appropriate, very much like the actual anime movie.

However, the chiropterans are a major let down. Too small (in the anime, they were towering over humans) and too rubbery to be realistic. Sometimes felt like watching Ultraman's monster.

I would give 2 out of 5.

Managed to squeeze movie time in my oh so hectic schedule.

Yeay!! Terminator 4!!

And they got the 'young Arnie' too!!

Since I'm a Terminator fan, so of course la I give the movie a lot of
stars, kisses and hugsies too. Hahaha.

The storyline is simple, it was already Judgment Day and John Connor is
the new Messiah for the humans. The machines are in the proces of
eradicating us and it is up to John to save our future's future.

This is the story where he met Kyle Reese. Yeah, the teenage father. Thank
God the boy grow up to be a handsome man. Hehehe. Well, I prefer Anton as
Chekov in Star Trek. Sniff, sniff, Fee Fii Fo Fum...I smell a new sci fi
actor created by the Hollywood industry.

Anyway, in the movie they injected a new twist, a new character named
Marcus Wright. A cute T-whatever with oh so beautiful bod (insert girlish
giggling here)...(and yes, they managed to get him naked too despite the
level 'U' of the movie...wuhu!!). Hmm...Jealous of Moon Bloodgood, she
managed a cuddle and a kiss to the guy. Well, I like strong beating hearts
too. ;)

Well, all in all, it is a Terminator movie and it did not disappoint my
expectations.

I heard a lot of people complaint that the characters were not developed,
bla bla bla. Hey! T movie la, if you want talking scenes, go and watch
Pride and Prejudice la. In T movies, we are talking abt robotic machines,
glimmering skulls, red eyes (literally) and 'boom! goes the car' type of
scenes.

And also don't forget..the Mototerminator...... What can we say except
Decepticon in a T movie. Wuhu!! 2 movies in 1.

Basically, the pandemic is declared coz the virus is much more widespread, not because it becomes so much more virulent. So, pls don't panic unnecessarily.


On the nationside, the jerebu season had finally arrived...full force I would say. Visibility had gone down to a couple of kms only.

Well, just had a chat with my boss. He said the haze reminds him of the movie 'The Mist' (the one that is based on the Stephen King's same titled book). Now, we are anxiously peering into the gloom, waiting for the creatures to start arriving...

Hark, our cubicles are really in front of large glass windows.

Where should we go when the creatures start coming? He said the lift would be safe, I said the toilet. Let us see, who will be still standing when this is over.

Keta aku kena langgar lagik.

Siut nyer van. Elok2 dia leh jalan straight, halfway lalu depan keta aku dia swerve ke kanan. Tak pasal2 keta aku bergesel ngan van dia yg hodoh. Dah la tuh, dia buat derk aja plak tuh.

So for all my frens yang bermastautin di area Cyberjaya/Equine Park/Putrajaya/Puchong...careful with van putih PCC6765. Company nyer van, dia angkut pekerja.

Sib baik tak teruk, cuma front bumper belah kiri aku scratch la. Tapi sib baik gaks kena betul2 kat tempat yang mamat India dulu langgar. So tak la ralat ngats.

Apa la nasib, asik kena langgar aja. Aku rasa Boo kena mandi air Aura Bunga la.

Sian Boo, nanti aku belikan ko ais-krim yer masa balek nanti....aku makan, ko duk diam-diam kat tempat parking.

Hmmm...someone asked me, in my opinion, should we let Chin Peng to come back to Malaysia?

My answer? Damn NO!!

Yeah, I know there are a lot of hullabaloo regarding this issue. Some people said let him come back (usually the younger generations) and the older generations would say, come back over their dead bodies!!

Why I said no? Because I am the second/third generation (in various views) that was affected by the communists. Let me just say, that they had caused my grandparents some grievous harm and that I would not forget that fact until I die. And of course, I would tell my nieces and nephews on the issue so that they can tell their children. So, let me calculate...well, Chin Peng would be dead by the time me and their generation dies.

So, to anyone that agrees to welcome Chin Peng and his associates, I would simply say that these people are traitors. Traitor to the country's history and traitor to the people.

History are what defined us. Malaysia is full of histories, we have monuments upon monuments and museums upon museums to remind us of our histories. And if these people forget that...then they are simply full of crap!

Let's chain these people that welcomes Chin Peng to Tugu Negara....blindfold them and shoot them to death. That is the only punishment fitting to traitors.

  David Eddings pass away.

Author David Eddings had passed away on 2nd June 2009.

I had read the Redemption of Athalus, since I am not a fan of long drawn
out series (in the SFF worlds, not a very bright girl la since most
stories ARE in series). The book is captivating and quite interesting.

It is a sad day when these kind of author dies and left new generations
like Christopher P****** that only managed to scrounge stories by taking
parts from other people ideas and assemble it like Frankeinstein. Well,
that is my only my opinion, after all I am only a reader and the boy get a
million bucks selling his Frankenstein books.

  Weekend trip...

Congrats again to Nana for her wedding.

Very simple and yet very the happening. Hehehe.

On the way balek, kitorang kena close encounter with a tedung. The ular
sits on the road so aku dah menjerit kat awan aku supaya tak langgar, so
kitorang biar dia ke tepi skets. Tapi ular tuh still rasa threatened so
dia panggung kepala, sib baik menghala the other side since tingkap aku
and my loved one terbuka masa tuh. Besar gaks ular tuh, dia panggung
kepala sampai ke tebing tingkap kitorang gaks la. Hopefully no one else
terlanggar dia la...cantek menatang tuh.

Kitorang nyer itinerary makanan berjaya kesampaian....air nira, sotong
celup tepung (2 kali, hehehe), udang celup tepung, sata and kropok lekur
Seberang Takir (orang2 KT semua cakap this is the best keropok lekur eva).
Kira beratur 2 jam la untuk beli menda nih. Aku rasa semalam, memang sedap
la. Tapi tuh kena tanya the food critic and his lovely chef la.

Kitorang takkan pandang dah sotong celup tepung kat tempat biasa dah. Yang
kitorang makan tuh, sotong tuh manis and the tepung is very soft and
soggy. Now aku paham naper the food critic cakap sotong celup tepung kat
luar nih keras (sambil angguk-angguk kepala cam Master Yoda).

On the way balek, tersangkut kat Lanchang for more than 1 hr. Ada mangkuk
yg pebetul jalan tengah2 wiken/cuti sekolah...tak paham aku. 3 kali plak
tuh, tapi the first one paling teruk. Kalau aku jadik polis traffic, aku
saja aja jalan tepi emergency lane tuh, cam hampeh aja all the lorries,
trailers, busses and cars jalan sesuka hati kat emergency lan tuh. Also
tak termasuk keta-keta yang kepochi, nampak aja bus/keta tersadai tepi
jalan, diorg slow down nak tengok ada minah lawa tak. Kalau bus yang
tersadai, memang cam semut la, padahal bus tuh tak kacau jalan langsung,
dia lepaks lek lok aja kat bahu jalan tuh.

At long last, selepas 2 jam berdiri beratur dan 8 1/2 jam cam semut
bergengsot-engsot kat hiway, sampai la jugak umah.

Alhamdulillah.

Kesian my loved one la, penat driving. My ole body nih pun masih terasa
sakit-sakit nya. Anyone leh picit this ole makcik?

So deng busy, even I do not know why I'm busy.

Btw, this is the 'runtuh' season, so very careful. First, the Jaya Supermarket, then followed by the stadium in Kuala Trengganu. Thank God at both times, only minimal of human lifes are lost...Yes, I do grieve for the victims, but imagine how much more horrendous if it happens when there are crowds in both buildings?

Hmm...hope the authority can look into both cases and ensure that it does not happen again. Well, sort of like the Bukit Antarabangsa, let it not be the third time. People usually say 'third time lucky', but with the kind of luck that we have right now...

Am really excited for the field trip this weekend. Dang, just remembered, I had not pack anything yet. Nowadays, need to always pack for two....paham-paham ajer la. >:)

Well, have fun during the weekends. Jangan runtuhkan mana-mana bangunan nanti.

For a fren, make sure sedara2 ko tuh tak masuk any building kat Mesia nih. Hahaha. Fireeee!!!!!
