While reading The Star newspaper today, stumbled upon an article about Overheard New York. I got a friend that likes to read other people's sms text written in the bus or train. Sometimes, I do it too! Quite hilarious. Some people bitching about their work, life-partner, lack of life-partner, etc.......Privacy? What privacy??!! Ever been inside Komuter during peak hours? Honey, count urself lucky if you can breathe! Once, I overheard a lady argued with her bf (I think) while I'm buying LRT ticket. She is so pissed off that her bf said she is domineering and do not respect his freedom. Her answer? Cannot be written here. But she hungs up on him. A real life drama. No need to subscribe to Astro Wah Lai Toi. Save a looooootttt of money too. So, if you value your privacy and do not like people to OVERHEARD/OVERREAD your 'discussions', better keep mum. Especially whenever the Komuter trains are delayed yet again and people are trying to find brief entertainment. Reading - none right now. Where the heck is my sister's Stephen Kings Anthology book? Listening to - Savage Garden - To the Moon and Back. Monday, August 28, 2006

Doing nothing new during this past week. Sleep, work, eat, watch tv, read story books, sleep. Read a few books, just completed the Salem's Lot by Stephen King. What to read now, huh? Cannot read too much of the ebook from my palm, my spec powers are on the rise. Just found some new thing-a-ma-jig that can help blind people to read. Sort of a mixture between digital camera and ebook reader, but the price is around USD3,000 to USD5,000. It is still in beta version though, so expect the price to go down sometime 10 years from now. So, have to conserve my eyes til then. Just for fans of Edgar Allen Poe, go to the online stories at : Edgar Allen Poe - Online Literature Edgar Allen Poe is one of my favourite author. The Raven, The Cask of Amontillado, The Pit and The Pendulum and the Tell-Tale Heart are among a few of my favorite stories. If noticed, I had a quote by Edgar Allen Poe at the bottom of this blogsite , "Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream by night". It is actually given to me in the form of a bookmark by a good friend. I will treasure it always...(even tho I'm sure he did not know who is Edgar Allen Poe and what is the meaning of the quote, hehehe) Other authors that I love (in the horror genre) are : a) H.P Lovecraft (da bestest) b) Dean Koontz (scary description, do not read while alone at night) c) Stephen King (better than others) d) Owl Goingback (Just read one of his book - The Breed, very nice....though I finished it quite fast. Completed the book in less than 5 hours-intermittent reading) Reading.....ntah. Am rifling my sister's story books collection. Listening.....no mood for songs just now. Friday, August 11, 2006

Last Sunday, went to send my sister's stuffs to her new rented room. Ok lah. very high though...level 12. Just hopefully the electricity or water don't have any problem. But the rent is sooooo high. Every person have to fork out RM80++. There would be 7 person living in the house. DBKL flat pulak tuh. Keep in mind, these are only students. Psssttt...aren't DBKL houses cannot be leased? I thought the houses are allocated for poor people. Somehow, these 'poor' people can lease out their allocated precious and only house to students. And.....reaped more than 100% profit from the leasing money. Not only that, some of these people actually have more than 1 house. Weird huh? It makes me wonder, are these people really poor? Am reading : Salem's Lot by Stephen King. Have to read hardcopy since having problems with my eyes. 'Let them do their worst, I will read until I go blind, Then, I will ask Fahroe to read to me....' (Now, just have to find a way to get him to sign a legal document on it >:) )
