Last weekend, I go out and hunt for new stuffs for my bead/jewellery stuffs. Found some hoop earrings, very simple and yet very versatile. Made it into some gorgeous earrings. See here. At long last, after holding Aida's beautiful pearl bracelet for about 1 month, I was able to 'recreate' the beautiful bracelet's essence. I did not make actual copy, just identify the size and things used for it. However, I made it into stretchable bracelet. Magnificent. The pix is at the same link above. On the other note, I finally go and see the Da Vinci Code movie. Tom Hanks is magnificent, as usual. However, the movie is not as captivating as the book, as usual. Some of my friends complaint that the movie is dull and boring. I find it.....just OK. Tho, not something that Tom Hanks can win any award. Currently still reading the Da Vinci Code. Sha, this blog is for you. There are a number of requests about the location of shops selling beads in Kuala Lumpur. Among the places that I frequented are : 1) Yi Xin - located near Plaza Warisan, Central Market. 2) A shop that sell loose semi-precious stones and customized jewellery items in Ground Floor, Ampang Park. Cannot remember the shop's name. 3) I also frequented the flea market at Subang Parade. 4) A hobby shop in Subang Parade, highest floor. Still cannot remember the name. But the shop sells beads, swarovski crystals, stitch making stuffs, knitting, etc. 5) Ground floor, Summit. Also cannot remember the shop's name. Too old, I know how to go to these shops, but not the name of it. :( For Swarovski components and tools such as crimp beads, lobster claws, jump rings; I bought them from the internet. Usually from Lelong.com or eBay. My advise, haunt flea markets. There are usually some unique items or necklaces that you can salvage/redesigned. For example, I just bought a massager/roller made from agate stone from the Amcorp Mall flea market. What do I do with it? As of now, I have no idea! But it is a good conversation piece. Am reading, the Da Vinci Code....just to refresh my memory before the movie. Am listening, nothing. Just completed my presentation. Phew! Will go back to my hometown, Penang starting tomorrow until 17 may 2006. Cheerios. Monday, May 08, 2006
Is it true? At last, a picture of the UFO in Penang, Malaysia? Pix above is the courtesy of New Straits Times online. For the full story, please go here : http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/nst/Friday/National/20060505073632/Article/index_html Anyway, I am not surprised to see the 'evidence' about UFO in Penang. Heck, they had been vacationing in Penang for a long time. However, Penangites and the Penang government had their own reason to keep mum about these tourists. Based on estimation, these UFO tourists alone bring RM 10,000,000 revenue to the Penang Island. Unlike the Far Eastern tourists, they came to Penang all the year round. Unless the solar winds flared up, which causes choppy and turbulent journey. Their usual spots are the Batu Ferringhi (for the beaches), Balek Pulau (whenever the durians are in season) and any spots that are very 'sunyi'. The Penangites welcomed the UFOrites the same as any other tourists. They come, they see, they pollutes (with our help of course), they buy, they gone. What Penangites like about the UFO tourists, are the invisibility quality. They are very hard to see, very hard to feel. Most of the times, you never know when they are around. The UFOrites are not to be confused with 'Toyol'. 'Toyol' is a Malay ghost spirit, ranges from 10 inches to 3 feet in height. Does not like to wear clothes, alwasy running around naked. Have pointed ears and sharp teeth. Likes to eat chicken eggs and occasional sip of blood. The UFOrites ranges from 10 inches to 9 feet, skin colors might be grey, white, flesh colored or green. Wear spacesuit or tight fitting uniforms. Have 2 black orbs as eyes and cannot speak Malay. And they have cool spaceships. Enuf chatter. Am reading another Isaac Asimov story, The Gods Themselves. Lepas nih, leh baca The Da Vinci Code again. Have to prepare before the watching the movie. My head is ringing with Guantanamera. Fahroe punya pasal lah nih, dah seminggu dia asik main lagu tuh, again and again and again. Tuesday, May 02, 2006
Created 2 new anklets for my friends. Too lazy to scan. Nearly the same design as the previous bracelets, but with different colors. Would need to bring all my new creations to scan. Later lah.... Starting this month, need to start an accounting book on the things that I sell. Malas lah. Think depression is starting in. Malas to do anything. All my projects pulak ada problem. Not much, tapi a hassle to solve. Semua business issue. Haiya. Semalam, Labour day, busan giler. Nak kluar, asik ujan. Citer dalam tv pun tarak. Start petang, Astro pun tak dapat. Around 5 pm, kluar gaks. Pg KLCC, lepaks sensorang. Tgk buku, tgk baju. Gaji tak masuk lagik, so browsing jer lah. Jengok cinema, satu line jer orang beratur. Tempted gler nak tgk wayang, tapi tadak movie yang best. Pun tarak mood nak tgk sensorang. Last sekali, pg makan Nandos. Then balek, redah ujan. Sampai umah, cam nak demam dah. Then bukak tv, citer best, sampai 1 pagi. Hampeh laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Oh, lupa...pagi tadi terdengar bunyi burung Abang Ko. Tak tau aper nama saintifik dia. Abang Ko tuh actually nama orang Penang panggil burung tuh. Citer dia camnih, dulu ada satu guy, ada 2 wives. The first wife meningggal, tinggalkan anak lelaki sorang. The second wife masih idup, pun ada anak lelaki sorang. These 2 brothers sesangatlah sayang menyayangi satu sama lain. Tapi mak yang second nih, menyampah kat anak first. Satu hari, si bapak suruh anak2 dia tuh pg tanam kat kebun. Si mak nih bagi kat si abang benih yang dah direbus. Maka, tanah si abang, tak naik apa-apa pun. Kebun si adik, menjadi subur giler. Then, si abang merajuk, larik dari umah. Si adik plak kejar mencari si abang. Tuh yang dia panggil Abang Ko...Abang Ko....Eh, lupa nak bagitau. Nih actually family Chinese. Si adik mencari si abang merata2, sampai lah dia menjadik burung. Tamat... My head, have no song right now. So silent. Had completed reading the Currents of Space by Isaac Asimov. Damned good story. Want to know abt it? Buy the book yourself lah. Need to read : The Da Vinci Code. Have to finish before the actual movie comes out. Movies to see (in original format): The Da Vinci Code, X Men III and Pirates of the Caribbean. The rest, can wait for Astro to play.
