Last week I went to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, located at Skudai, Johore for my sister's convocation. She's very happy and very confident of herself now. I am very proud of her. Currently she is furthering her studies at the same university. The event is very fast considering about 2000++ students 'walk the aisle' on only the first half of the day. the fiesta was held at the other end of the university and to go there poses a very challenging prospect since our family do not possess any vehicle. In the end, jalan jer. Mak oii, rasa cam nak tercabut kepala lutut. That's why bebudak UTM ramai yang ada transport sendiri, bicycle pun bicycle lah. Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS to my sister...Azmah Hanim. May GOD bless you, always. Wednesday, August 11, 2004

Booyah! Got a letter calling for me to attend a three days course for the PTD this coming 27 August. Am very nervous, what qualities are they looking for? What should I wear? What should I do? I am one of the gals that sucks during interview. Or is it just that my self esteem is so low? Naah! Just wish that I can get this job and fly far far away from here. Too many bitter memories here. Hey, do we have any consulate in Alaska? Friday, August 06, 2004
Yesterday and today, I took the time to play around with some of the software and database in the office. Installed and tested the Crystal Report 9. Tried to churn out a few reports...seems like okay to me. The wizard makes the report looks impressive, even tho only an amateur created it. :P Also goofing around with Oracle 10g. The web administrator makes it impressive. All the monitoring and administrative capabilities from the web. Wow!! Talk abt giving power to the user. Hmmm....what else to play? Am currently playing Tradewinds from Astraware in my palm. Felt like Dopewar on steroid. Nice graphix. Need to remind myself to bring home the power cable. hehehehe Am currently reading, The Solar Youthamatic by Matthew Green. Am singing, Que, Sera, Sera. "Whatever will be, will be. The future's not ours to see...que sera sera" dedicated to all the mak chiks that always asking me abt when should I get married. :P Tuesday, August 03, 2004
Baru upgrade my MegaLauncher to version 5. Quite cool. The application got quite a number of inbuilt utilities such as archiving, compress, backup. No need to buy additional software for the palm. Anyway, am still testing on the features.... It's been quite a while since I downloaded new applications or games for my pda. Most of the games require palm OS version 5.0 and above. Aiyah!! Mine felt like a dinosaur among space going aliens. What do I use my palm for? Hmm: 1. My timesheet 2. Appointments 3. Reading books (any wonder the doctors recommend me to do lasik?) 4. Play games 5. On demand currency and conversion 6. Keep track of my monthly period (La Femme is quite good) 7. Check on the prayer's time (I'm using PrayMind for this) 8. Offline Internet browsing 9. Keep track on all my user ids, passwords, login numbers, bank account numbers. I know that I'm only using half of the power of my palm. It's okay tho. The other half can be used to store my games and story books. :D Overall, 16 MB (internal) + 128 MB memory stick. Still garu kepala sebab kena delete some books from the memory stick. The race of man shall perish, but the eyes
Of trilobytes eternal in stone, And seem to stare about in mild surprise At changes greater than they have yet known. - T.A. Conrad |
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour. - William Blake, excerp from Auguries of Innocence. |
