Being a mom teaches me patience and good behaviour.
Patience since apparently my baby do not understand a word that I say.
He LOVES to play with a toy, shakes it and then fling it away. It is up to mom to pick the toy up, dust it and present it to the baby....which the baby will then laughingly toss it away again. A game to him, backbreaking to me. A thousand words essay to him to please, please do not toss away his toys instead causes him to flung his toys faster and further away.
He also LOVES to play with my laptop, power cables, power switches, racks...well, basically what a baby SHOULD NOT play with. I had tried to say NO with love filled voice, with stern voice, remove the items away from him, remove him away from the stuffs....all to no avail. The first moment his eyes lighted on items that are dangerous to him, then he will flee from me to play with it.
I am not a saint, but I do not want my little son to grow up being rude or God forbid, fluent in cuss language. So, I make sure that I am on my best behaviour around him. Esssssspecially while driving....and say thank you, please, may I, whenever I can.
My son is teaching me to be a civilized person.
