Pirates of the Caribbean : At World's End is magnificent. Tho, I loved the Dead Man's Chest better. The reason? It got Kraken...alive and kickin.
Anyway, back to the POC : ATE, there are many places that you would laugh, guffaw or even pass out from laughing too much. Tho, at the backbone...the story is actually quite somber, the pirates have to fight for their life...or they would be lost..and dead.
My most stomach aching portion, is when they found Kraken dead at the beach (sob). One of the pirates said "It is a cephalopod!" Hey, either their science advancement of that particular civilization is more advance than us compared to the same timeline or......I can't think of any or. Tho, I noticed that not many people laugh at THAT dialogue.
Johny Depp, being his most quirky Jack Sparrow personification is very engaging. Keith Richard's cameo role as Jack Sparrow's father is thoroughly quick, tho very interesting. And everyone would love Captain Jack Sparrow's mother. The rest of the crew...are very...well, if you saw the first 2 movies, you know what to expect.
A new character, Captain Sao Peng...loves it when he say, "Welcome to Singapore." Singaporeans would hate it! All these while they are very proud of their modern island. But, in the movie, their island is reduced to a city governed by a pirate. Tho, a very sexy pirate. Well, what can I say, I love Chow Yuen Fatt. Tho, much prefer his to talk chinese than english. In english, he seems to rehearse all the dialog in his mind before talking it.
I would give 9 stars out of 10.
Hmmm...with the shot of topless Johny Depp (yes, it is in the movie!!) I could increase the stars to 9 1/2.
Hopefully, they shot the thoroughly clamoured for, the fourth installment of the movie. But, please...please include back all of the stars. And the same director please. Don't want the same thing that happened to Harry Potter again.
Bila la nak masuk Dead Man's Chest dalam Astro? Usually kat Disney Channel.
Got cold, head is full of woolly cotton...wool.
