Went to Bukit Cherakah during the weekend with some frens. Have loads of fun.
We stayed at Rumah Perak, it does have the modern necessities (important - plumbing) in a tradisional wooden house. There is not much done on Saturday, except lazing around, cook and eat food....lotsa food that we brought with us. (The house do have in-door kitchen and also bbq pit outside).
On Sunday, since I do not know how to ride bicycle (hehehe), so I just walked along the road and visit the Taman Haiwan(I touched a horse!!), Mushroom Museum (dusty and sadly neglected), Spice Garden (not many spices and a lot of the trees are chopped), Taman 4 Musim (It is winter time!! Mucho snows!! Yey!!), Taman Orkid (lotsa orchid plants, but only a few are flowering. Me thinks they need to put flower fertilizer. Don't laugh, my mum rears orchids too). At last, nicely tired, so I took the open aired bus back to the station.
I think I walked for at least 4 km that day. More likely, around 5 km. Semalam ok ajer, today start sakit kaki. Kuang, kuang, kuang.
Quite a number of monkeys, but it is not as fierce as Penang monkeys. These monkeys are scared of me!
Overall, nice getaway. Good for family outing and also for people that want to sweat.
Wld upload the pix later. Rite now, want to rest my feet.
Am reading - Anthology of Short Stories from Isaac Asimov, also Omnivore.
Am listening - nothing. Tho yesterday I was humming Wind It Up by Gwen Stefani during the walk.
