Yesterday, around 12.25 pm the office lights went out. After some phone calls, it is discovered that Wilayah Persekutuan, Malacca, Negri Sembilan and Johor are affected by the blackout. Thankfully, the blackout only occurs for about 1 hr at KL Sentral.

It is said that the Tenaga Nasional Berhad's Kapar Station tripped and thus caused major blackout. Ntah lah.

Then can said and justified anything, but can they make sure that it would not happen again?

I hate dark places, thank God it was in the afternoon.

Wiken lepas final stage dalam pindah rumah. Mengangkut barang-barang yang besar, gabak dan berat. Penat wooo. Nasib baik ada opismet tolong, tuh pun dah takat-takat maksimum stamina.

Rasa tak daya dah nak pindah rumah lagik dah. Kali nih, instead of sewa rumah, try sewa bilik lak. Tak larat nak maintain bebudak yang keluar masuk rumah, biar orang lain pulak maintain.
Tapi, still barang yang ngangkut tuh macam nak sewa rumah. Punya lah banyak. Mostly, my books, magazines and little cute stuffs yang my sister malas nak bawak gik Johor. Buku and magazines yang lemah tuh, berat gilos. Tapi sayang kalau tak bawak..... My books alone dah harga lebih RM500.

Sempat gak cat bilik. 2 different kind of white, orchid white and off white. Sebab aper amik 2 different kind of white? Sebab Rina cilok kawan nyer cat. Malas nak beli cat baru, mahal giler. Baik tolong perabih cat rumah kekawan.

Anyway, thanks to Mummy, Hanim, Hanum and Fahroe sebab tolong angkut barang. Nasib baik ada you all, tak lah melelong angkat sorang-sorang. Without you all, confirm Rina amik movers. ahaks.

Nak jaga lembu sekandang, lebih senang dari menjaga anak dara sorang.

Translation :
It is easier to maintain a herd of cows, than taking care of a daughter.

All these past week, all the people can talk about is the Tsunami. The victims, the damages, the miracle stories, etc. As for me, the pictures are the worst. It shows the power of nature versus human, and we lose.

There are only two course of actions for us now, to help the current victims and at least try to prevent it from happening again. Prevent??? Maybe not prevent, but at least try to contain it and make sure that in the next round, we are not caught unaware.

I see a lot of video clips and still pictures where the picnickers and other people actually staring and pointing to the tsunami waves. Why are they not running the h*&% out of there? Reason is that we are not educated about tsunamis. Sure, we learn about it in Form 4 and 5. About the big waves that could actually change the face of the earth, the hundreds and thousands of people that could easily die, properties could be washed away. But then, we only memorize these information only until the end of the year, where we put all these information on paper, and then totally forgot about it. We do not know the cycle of the tsunami, how and why it happened. So, when we notice that the water level was dramatically low or see the beautiful white frothed waves, we simply stare and point at it.

And then, when it happened, the whole nation only knew about it during the 8 o'clock evening news. Why are the public not informed of the coming tsunami even though we felt the earthquake? When Langkawi was washed by the tsunami, why are the folks in Kuala Muda, Penang and the rest are not informed? Weird isn't it? We are a nation and we do not care that humongous waves are crashing at Langkawi.

Hey, I read that US had detected the earthquake the minute it happened! Why are we not told? Where is the information bottleneck?

From my view, education and by God better communication service are required to enable us to have at least a fighting chance against tsunami.

Better make it NOT ONLY tsunami. What about tornado, typhoon, frogs falling from the sky? Include those too. Ridiculous? Remember, we used to think that tsunamis only happened to Japan and Hawaii.

The race of man shall perish, but the eyes
Of trilobytes eternal in stone,
And seem to stare about in mild surprise
At changes greater than they have yet known.
- T.A. Conrad

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
- William Blake,
excerp from Auguries of Innocence.
