Too long not blogging. Too busy with work.
Just heard from my friend that he will be getting married soon. My emotions are a bit mixed, I'm happy that he will get married, and a bit depressed that I will 'lose' a friend.
I know..I know....many people would say that marriage should not interfere with friendship, but from my experience, it does interfere.......a lot !
Reasons that usually 'distancing' me and a guy friend after marriage are :
1. The married guys could not 'enjoy' or 'ronda' until late at nite.
2. After marriage, the conversation would always revolve around kids, school, kids, blah, blah, kids. Which as an unmarried lady, there is nothing much that I could contribute.
3. Most people, do not understand friendship between different sexes. Due to this, I usually backed out of the friendship until the guy introduced me to their wife. Sometimes, the gesture works, most of the time, the wife sulks until I leave.
The biggest issue, is of course the number 3 issue. Sometimes I wonder, if the wife understands that there is only platonic feelings between me and their man. Come on, if I really have any feelings toward these guys or vice versa, I would be the one married to the guy, rite?
But..................the single lady always have to backed off. Sum'thing abt third wheel and all. Surely they had not heard of tricycle.
Anyway, that is my grouching for today.
Currently, not reading anything. Got something wrong with my eyes, and also got scolding from my eye doctor. Something about being blind as a bat or chicken or sumthing. But, since he did not say that I could not play with my palmmmmmmmmmmmm........
